A recent report from England over the weekend has cast doubt of Adama Traore’s Wolves future.
Adama Traore struggling to provide
After starting to finally perform under Tony Pulis of all people, Middlesbrough sold Adama Traore to Wolves in the summer of 2018.
Nuno Santo’s side are believed to have paid around £18m to land the Spaniard.
The now 25-year-old has since been slowly improving throughout his time in the Midlands.
Last season, for example, saw Traore net four and assist nine in the Premier League.
However, 2020/21 has not been anywhere near as impressive for Traore or Wolves as a squad.
In fact, the former Barcelona youth has provided just one assist and zero goals in all competitions this season.
Obviously, there is more to a player than his goal and assist tally, but it’s still fair to say that Traore has not been anywhere near his scintillating best so far in 2020/21.
Wolves likely to sell key player
This may, of course, have something to do with Raul Jimenez, Wolves’ main striker, missing much of the campaign.
Traore’s form could also have been impacted by the fact Matt Doherty, who he had formed a solid partnership down Wolves’ right, has since been sold to Tottenham.
Regardless of the reason, as mentioned above, Traore’s future at the Molineux is now being called into question.
According to the Daily Mail, Wolves will listen to offers for Traore at the end of the campaign, with it added that the club are likely to sell at least one key player this summer.
