Ramos contract talks stall
Sergio Ramos faces the prospect of leaving Real Madrid this summer.
With his contract set to expire, no new agreement has yet been made.
Zinedine Zidane has gone on record saying that he himself wants Ramos to remain at the club beyond the current season.
“I hope not. He won’t play tomorrow and that’s a shame, but I hope he stays here. You know that,” said the French coach.
However, the main sticking point appears to be the length of contract on offer.
Madrid have made a proposal to the Spaniard but Ramos wants a two-year deal and Los Blancos are only willing to provide the one year extension.
With David Alaba arriving from Bayern Munich this summer and the presence of Eder Militao and Nacho Fernandez there is significant cover.
However, the joint departure of Ramos plus Raphael Varane, who he himself is linked with a move away, could see Madrid forced into the market.
Reason behind sudden PSG link
PSG are not averse to picking up free transfer deals for some of Europe’s most decorated and highly-rated players coming to the ends of their careers.
Just recently Gianluigi Buffon left Turin to spend time in the French capital.
Now though, with Ramos’ future uncertain, could the Spaniard make the trip northeast.
The reason behind the latest furore of the possible move lies in Ramos’ social media activity.
It has been recently noticed that Ramos followed a whole host of PSG players out of the blue including:
Neymar, Thilo Kehrer, Rafinha, Mauro Icardi, Ander Herrera, Presnel Kimpembe and former teammate Keylor Navas.

As is with any social media activity, it should be taken with a large pinch of salt, however it is not an untrodden path of players.
Former teammate Angel Di Maria and Keylor Navas both reside in Paris, could he yet join them?
