Why Tierney missed out vs Crystal Palace
Ahead of the clash with Crystal Palace, as is customary, Arsenal would release their team sheet an hour prior to kick-off.
The news from an Arsenal perspective was largely positive, with both Thomas Partey and Gabriel returning to the matchday squad:

However, there was on noticeable absentee from the entire matchday squad, with Kieran Tierney, who has been in solid form of late, completely omitted.
An explanation for the full-backs absence has since been forthcoming online, with it reported that Tierney is suffering from muscle tightness and has been rested as a precaution:
Kieran Tierney – muscle tightness, rested as a precaution.
Pablo Mari – tight calf.
