Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
The midweek Premier League action is set to draw to a close in a few hours’ time.
The final tie of the week will see Arsenal play host to Crystal Palace in an 8 PM UK time kick-off.
The Gunners will no doubt head into the tie full of confidence after a solid run of form of late.
Arsenal have won their last three Premier League outings, which has seen them move up to 11th in the English top-flight.
They also secured their passage into the FA Cup 4th round over the weekend with a 2-0 win over Newcastle United.
Why Tierney missed out vs Crystal Palace
Ahead of the clash with Crystal Palace, as is customary, Arsenal would release their team sheet an hour prior to kick-off.
The news from an Arsenal perspective was largely positive, with both Thomas Partey and Gabriel returning to the matchday squad:

However, there was on noticeable absentee from the entire matchday squad, with Kieran Tierney, who has been in solid form of late, completely omitted.
An explanation for the full-backs absence has since been forthcoming online, with it reported that Tierney is suffering from muscle tightness and has been rested as a precaution:
Kieran Tierney – muscle tightness, rested as a precaution.
Pablo Mari – tight calf.
