West Ham boss David Moyes provides positive Michail Antonio update ahead of Tottenham

West Ham vs Tottenham

West Ham United will face off with London rivals Tottenham on Sunday.

The sides will head into the matchup at the London Stadium in very contrasting form.

The Hammers are currently sat 5th in the Premier League table, only outside of the Champions League places due to goal difference.

They have also lost just one of their last five and look well on course for a European finish this term.

Tottenham, on the other hand, despite being considered title contenders earlier in the season, have now slipped down to 9th in the PL.

Spurs do have a game in hand on most sides around them, but given their recent form, it is hard to see them winning it.

Jose Mourinho’s men have fallen to defeat in four of their last five league matches and look seriously devoid of confidence.

Ahead of the game, the Portuguese would provide an update on Harry Kane, which you can read more about here:

David Moyes on Antonio

Elsewhere, David Moyes held his pre-Tottenham press conference on Friday.

During the presser, the Scotsman would provide an update on Michail Antonio.

The forward has missed West Ham’s last two outings due to injury.

But when speaking about him on Friday, Moyes confirmed Antonio has a ‘good chance’ for the game on Sunday:

“Michail Antonio has a good chance for Sunday because he has had a few days training. We’re always careful with Mick because we want to make sure he’s right, but he was close for the last game. He’s been doing more work on the training pitch and we’ll know more tomorrow.”
