Tottenham reportedly weighing up bid for Kim Min-jae/ Chelsea also linked with South Korean

Who is Kim Min-jae?

Kim Min-jae joined Chinese outfit Beijing Guoan in January of 2019.

Kim has since gone on to enjoy a fruitful spell with the club, which has seen him notch 57 appearances across all competitions.

The South Korean plies his trade as a centre-back and at 6ft 3, is certainly a commanding presence in both boxes, which has also earned him the nickname ‘the monster’.

Kim is a well established international, notching 30 appearances for South Korea’s senior side despite only being 24 years of age.

Tottenham eyeing move for Kim Min-jae/ Chelsea linked

And after some starring displays for Beijing Guoan, Kim Min-jae now looks to be attracting interest from Europe.

Premier League outfit Tottenham were linked with a move for the centre-back in the delayed summer window.

No move would, of course, materialise. But with the winter window now open, Kim is once again being linked with a move to England.

According to a report from the Mirror on Thursday, Tottenham are weighing up a bid this month for Kim and are ready to step up their interest amid growing concerns of competition for the stopper from capital rivals, Chelsea.

Kim has less than a year reaming on his current contract, with the report from the Mirror adding that Beijing Guoan are read to cash in on him.

No fee is mentioned in the report. But given his short contract and fact he has never played in one of Europe’s top leagues, it is hard to see Kim commanding too much of a fee.
