The talismanic figure and captain of Los Blancos’ contract is set to expire at the end of the current season. Meaning if no agreement in made in the next 47 days, Ramos will be able to negotiate with others clubs.
There has been rumours of contract offers from Juventus and PSG, however Spanish media report that the 34-year-old is to remain in the Spanish capital.
Sources told Spanish media outlet AS that Madrid have rubbished news that Ramos could leave. Saying it was ‘either pure speculation or far from the truth. What needs to happen will happen when their is a break in competition – in line with tradition at Real Madrid.’
Ramos has been integral for Real again this season and brought up his 100th goal for Madrid. An unbelievable record considering his natural centre-back position. The Spaniard scored in the recent El Classico victory over Barcelona and the vital 3-2 Champions League win against Inter Milan.
