Thomas Tuchel’s men are set to return to action on Saturday afternoon, in a Premier League meeting with the Saints at St. Mary’s.

The Blues will of course head into proceedings with their tails up, having made it 5 wins on the bounce courtesy of a 2-0 downing of Newcastle last weekend.

This comes amid a fine start to life under the guidance of Tuchel, who, in the space of three weeks, has already managed to guide Chelsea back into the English top-flight’s top-4.

For Southampton, on the other hand, recent weeks have proven considerably less fruitful.

Ralph Hasenuhuttl’s men, on the back of a fine start to the campaign, have seen their form fall off a cliff of late, en route to 6 consecutive Premier League defeats.

Blues stars return

As such, Chelsea will no doubt fancy their chances of piling the misery on their hosts this weekend.

And, as outlined above, ahead of Saturday’s St. Mary’s showdown, the Londoners have today been handed a boost.

This comes in the form of the return of two key players to first-team training, following respective spells on the sidelines with fitness issues.

The pair in question come in the form of summer arrivals Kai Havertz and Thiago Silva, both of whom were pictured training alongside the rest of Thomas Tuchel’s squad on Thursday.

The duo, in, turn, are now expected to be available for selection to face Southampton:
