The Red Devils are of course set to get their European campaign back underway shortly.

After ousting AC Milan in the round-of-16 prior to the international break, Solskjaer and co. will now turn their attentions towards booking a spot in the Europa League’s final-4.

Standing in United’s way, though, are one of the competition’s surprise packages thus far, in the form of La Liga outfit Granada.

The Spanish club, despite an altogether shaky domestic campaign to date, have impressed on the continent, en route to two-legged victories over both Napoli and Molde.

As such, whilst United will head into proceedings as clear favourites to secure a first-leg advantage tonight, the Premier League giants will no doubt be wary of their hosts’ readiness to spring a surprise.

‘Show that he’s a top goalkeeper’

Ahead of the action getting underway at the Estadio de Los Cármenes, meanwhile, the XI entrusted by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to get the job done was unveiled a short time ago.

In turn, speaking during a pre-match interview, Solskjaer was inevitably drawn on de Gea replacing Dean Henderson between the posts.

And the United boss went on to explain:

‘David [De Gea] wants to play every game. But especially here in Spain I’m sure he wants to play and show that he’s a top goalkeeper.’

On Marcus Rashford – who was viewed as a major injury doubt for this evening – also being named in his starting XI, Solskjaer added:

‘Marcus says he’s okay, a little bit sore, but he’s not worried about the injury at all. There was no doubt in my head about playing him.’
