Not good enough
With the domestic window still open there lies opportunities for teams to add reinforcements. Premier League clubs can still buy and sell to Championship clubs and it appears the league champions are considering a move.
Liverpool are currently without first-choice keeper Alisson due to a shoulder injury. The Brazilian stopper could miss up to 6 weeks because of the affliction.
Adrian, Liverpool’s back-up choice, is no stranger to minutes on the Anfield pitch. Alisson has missed many games during the Spaniard’s time at the club but he himself has failed to impress.
The side’s 7-2 embarrassment at Villa Park was begun with an awful pass by Adrian. He was also unable to win a penalty shoot-out against Arsenal in the 4th round of the Carabao Cup.
John Barnes: “With Alisson injured, Liverpool is looking for someone to come in for three to four months, judging by previous performances, I’m not convinced Adrian is the man for the job.” #awlfc [goal] pic.twitter.com/luO8T1WnUf

Jurgen Klopp has been quick to defend Adrian in the past but it appears his patience could be running out.
England’s stopper
At just 27 years-of-age, Stoke City keeper and England international Jack Butland is still a young keeper. Since Stoke’s relegation from the Premier League, Butland has remained at the club he signed for as a 19-year-old.
That could soon come to an end with reports emerging that Liverpool are eyeing up the England international.
Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has supported the idea.
Speaking with Football Insider, Robinson said, “I can see Liverpool signing the likes of Jack Butland on a short-term deal. They need somebody like that.”

“A player that has the experience of handling big games. Somebody of that ilk.”
Stoke are supposedly open to the keeper leaving but this late in the window Liverpool may need to fork out a sizeable fee.
