Mbappe told to join Bayern Munich
The future of Kylian Mbappe has taken an interesting turn as the French international admitted to being told to join Bayern Munich by one of his teammates.
Mbappe in an interview with BILD via Get French Football News explained what his international teammate said.
“Yes, Lucas told me that I should come to Bayern Munich. In football, we never know what can happen. But I am currently very happy as I am. Bayern is one of the best 5 teams in the world.
“You can only congratulate them on how they maintain their level of quality each year. They know what they are doing. Now, Boateng and Alaba have left, but Upamecano, an excellent defender, has arrived. They have got a clear plan which makes them a big club.”
Bayern already have the likes of Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane. However, should Mbappe want to pursue a more central striker role, Robert Lewandowski’s tenure at the club is reaching its final stages.
Mbappe’s stance on PSG
Mbappe has, for some time, been adamant about his happiness at PSG. Mentioning how whatever contract he signs it will be for a long time.
“We’re in talks with the club to find a project. I’m thinking about it because I think, if I renew, it’ll be for a long time,” Mbappe said.
“I’m very happy here, I always have been happy here. The fans, the club… they’ve always helped me. That’s why I’ll always be grateful to the club.
“But I want to think about what I want to do in the coming years, where I want to be.
“We’ll have to make a decision soon, but I’m just thinking about it now. If I had an answer today, I’d have said it today.
“But it’s not a question of saving time, it’s simply about reflection.
“I don’t want to sign a contract and say I want to leave a year later because I didn’t want to sign the contract. No. If I sign, it’s to stay. And that warrants reflection.”
PSG president Nassir Al-Khelaifi has reiterated that it would be ‘impossible’ for the club to let him leave.
Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe will stay at the Ligue 1 club next season, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said, responding to media speculation about the French international’s future.

Whether he does indeed leave, still appears an open book despite the definitive stance from Al-Khelaifi.
