Jose Mourinho responds to Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil’s recent Tottenham comments

Tottenham vs Fulham

Tottenham return to Premier League action on Wednesday evening.

Spurs will head into the week’s action 4th in the Premier League table, three points adrift of Liverpool.

However, Spurs do have a game in hand on the Reds, which is, of course, Wednesday’s tie.

Should the Lilywhites come out on top, which seems likely, they would move up to 3rd place.

As for Fulham, they have been able to remain unbeaten in their last four league ties.

But all four of those games ended as draws, with Scott Parker’s side still only having picked up two Premier League wins in 15 outings this season.

Mourinho aims dig at Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil

Ahead of the tie, Jose Mourinho held his latest pre-match press conference

During said presser, the Portuguese tactician discussed a number of topics, including Mesut Ozil.

The German held a Q&A on his Twitter account on Tuesday evening.

During the Q&A, Ozil was asked if he had to retire or take a contract offer from Spurs, what would he do? To which the German responded:

Easy question. Retire!

Now, on Tuesday, Jose Mourinho has been drawn on these comments, with the Tottenham boss unsurprisingly going on to aim something of a dig at Ozil:

“Who told him that Tottenham would be interested in signing him?”
