Musiala shines for Bayern vs Lazio
Bayern Munich got their Champions League knockout stage underway on Tuesday evening vs Lazio.
The Germans would hammer the Serie A outfit 4-1 away from home, all but guaranteeing their passage into the last-eight.
All of Robert Lewandowski, Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala were on target for Hans Flick’s side, with their other goal on the evening marked down as a Francesco Acerbi own goal.
After scoring Bayern’s second of the evening on Tuesday, it was claimed that Musiala had made history, becoming the youngest English goalscorer in Champions League history:

Musiala to play for Germany
However, Musiala has now confirmed his intentions to represent Germany, not England, at international level.
Musiala was born in Germany and did not move to England until he was seven, where he would enjoy spells with Southampton and Chelsea.
But given he has a German mother and British-Nigerian father, Musiala could represent both countries, which he has done at youth level.
Now, though, the 17-year-old has confirmed his intentions to play for Germany:
“What is best for my future? Where do I have more chances to play? In the end, I just listened to the feeling that over a long period of time kept telling me that it was the right decision to play for Germany, the land I was born in. Still, it wasn’t an easy decision for me.”
On England, Musiala added:
“England is home for me. It is difficult to find words for what England means for me because I have so many memories connected to very positive emotions.”
