Inter’s Christian Eriksen reportedly not a transfer priority for Arsenal

Eriksen linked with Arsenal

Christian Eriksen would join Inter Milan this past January.

The one-time Tottenham standout has since endured something of a rough patch in Italy.

Eriksen would score just one and provided two assists in the Serie A last term and very rarely completed 90 minutes.

The Dane has ensured a similarly tough start to 2020/21, failing to register a single goal contribution across seven outings.

And with the 28-year-old himself recently suggesting he would be open to a January move, Eriksen has, of course, been linked with a move elsewhere.

One potential destination for Eriksen touted in the media has been Arsenal, with reports of a swap deal involving Granit Xhaka emerging in Italy:

Arsenal not prioritising Eriksen

Of course, Eriksen moving to Arsenal would be quite interesting given his previous allegiance to Spurs.

But former Gunners forward Kevin Campbell has recently stated that Eriksen would be a good addition for Arsenal and he doesn’t care if he played for Tottenham:

“Eriksen played for the rivals but we all know the quality he possesses, that is for sure.

“It is not quite working out for him at Inter right now and I am sure he would be a good addition to Arsenal’s squad.

“I do not care if he played for Spurs – he is a superb player who can bring something to the table for Arsenal. “I would not mind it if we swapped Eriksen for Xhaka. The key is building and fattening that squad up to challenge and you can never have enough quality players.”

However, Campbell, and other Arsenal fans, may be somewhat disappointed when it comes to their club’s pursuit of Eriksen.

This is because according to FCInterNews, as cited by Goal, Eriksen is not a transfer priority for Arsenal.
