Ilkay Gundogan has returned to the fold for Manchester City, as the Citizens prepare to take on Arsenal this evening.
Gunners host Sky Blues
Sunday’s marquee Premier League fixture is set to take place at the Emirates shortly.
The clash in question will see Arsenal play host to Manchester City, in a highly-anticipated matchup.
It is of course the visitors who will head into proceedings as overwhelming favourites to bag all 3 points in north London, amid a remarkable recent spell of form.
Their latest victory, over Everton on Wednesday night, saw Pep Guardiola’s City extend their winning streak to a hefty 17 games across all competitions.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have managed just a solitary win from their last five, at home to Leeds United last weekend.
Gundo returns
And, as outlined above, ahead of proceedings getting underway in the capital, the task facing Mikel Arteta’s men has since been made an even more daunting one.
This comes after confirmation was forthcoming a short time ago that Ilkay Gundogan, who has missed City’s last 3 outings through injury, has returned to the club’s matchday squad:

In a further update to have surfaced over the last couple of minutes, meanwhile, it was revealed that not only is Gundogan back in Pep Guardiola’s squad, but the German is in line to start this evening:
De Bruyne & Gundogan start for #MCFC I believe.
