Hakim Ziyech happy with life at Chelsea: ‘I am where I am supposed to be’

Chelsea down Burnley

Chelsea welcomed Burnley to Stamford Bridge on Saturday as they looked to build on their 4-0 win in Europe in midweek.

The Blues smashed Russian outlet Krasnodar 4-0 on Tuesday and were in similarly fine form against Sean Dyche’s side.

Hakim Ziyech fired Chelsea into the lead with 23 minutes on the clock before assisting Kurt Zouma in the 63rd  minute to double the Londoners’ lead.

Timo Werner then put the result beyond doubt with 20 minutes to go, capping off a superb Chelsea display and handing them a 4th clean sheet in a row,

Whilst keeping yet another clean sheet is a superb achievement for a previously shaky Chelsea backline, the display of Hakim Ziyech should also been seen as another huge positive.

The Moroccan missed the start of the season due to a knee injury but has now finally returned to full fitness.

And after notching 80 minutes in midweek, in which he impressed, Ziyech then stole the show on Saturday, looking to be the final piece of Chelsea’s attacking jigsaw.

The player himself has since spoken out over his impressive week, stating he feels good at Chelsea and it is where he is supposed to be:

“It has been a really good week for me and hopefully we can continue.

“Especially after the European game, coming here [to Burnley], I think we did a really good game. We started well and gave Burnley problems. They had one big chance at the beginning but after that we controlled the game.

“Life at Chelsea is good, I am where I am supposed to be. I feel good and feel at home and everything is fine.”
