Guardiola confirms Sergio Aguero still isolating for ‘9 or 10 days’/ provides Man City injury update

Manchester City are set to welcome Brighton to the Etihad on Wednesday evening as they look to continue their fine run of form.

City would see off Championship outfit Birmingham in the FA Cup over the weekend.

And before that, the Citizens were in solid form in the league, winning their last three outings.

This had seen the Sky Blues move up to 5th in the Premier League table, with at least one game in hand on most of the sides around them.

As for Brighton, they are struggling this term, notching just two wins from 17 attempts.

Pep Guardiola on Aguero, Ake & Laporte

Ahead of their meeting with Brighton, City boss Pep Guardiola held his latest press conference on Tuesday.

During the presser, the Spaniard discussed a number of topics, including Sergio Aguero.

The Argentine missed City’s last clash due to coming into contact with someone who had tested positive for Covid-19.

And speaking on Tuesday, Guardiola confirmed that Aguero still has over a week left to isolate:

He’s isolating. The rules, after nine or 10 days he will be back.

The city boss also provided injury updates on both Aymeric Laporte and Nathan Ake:

Laporte and Ake are injured. Garcia, Adrian Bernabe and Cole Palmer are isolating. The rest are OK.
