Chelsea boss Frank Lampard this afternoon provided updates on a number of his side’s stars, ahead of their fast-approaching showdown with Tottenham.
Blues host Lilywhites
This weekend’s marquee Premier League fixture will of course see the Blues welcome Spurs to Stamford Bridge.
The matchup will come as much more than just the latest London derby between the sides, with both currently battling it out in the upper echelons of the English top-flight table.
As things stand, it is Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham who occupy top spot, leading champions Liverpool on goal difference.
Chelsea, meanwhile, sit in 3rd, two points adrift of their upcoming opponents.
Lampard’s outfit, though, will no doubt head into proceedings on Sunday confident in their chances of leapfrogging their capital rivals.
The Pensioners are currently in the midst of a 10-game unbeaten streak across all competitions, a stretch which includes wins in all of the club’s last 6.

And the news, for the most part, proved altogether positive from a Blues perspective.
Amid what appears to be a clean bill of health, Lampard confirmed that Christian Pulisic is finally back in contention to feature.
The Pensioners boss, however, stopped short of revealing whether his side’s goalscoring wide-man will be utilised from the off in a little over 48 hours’ time:
‘To start is a question. Every player coming back is more difficult to start because of what is going on.’
Lampard also went on to confirm that Kai Havertz, who returned for a cameo appearance in the Champions League on Tuesday night after previously testing positive for Covid-19, is fully fit:
Lampard starts by reporting Christian Pulisic is back in contention and Kai Havertz is available having played some minutes on Tuesday. ‘We’re in good shape,’ Lampard adds. #CHETOT
