Dean Henderson eyeing January loan move/ Man United & Juventus linked with Isak Bergmann Johannesson

Several transfer updates surrounding Manchester United have emerged over the weekend.

Henderson eyeing loan

The first of which concerns Dean Henderson and his short-term future at Old Trafford.

Henderson enjoyed a superb 2019/20 campaign on the books of Sheffield United.

Henderson had excelled with the Blades over the season prior, though it remained unclear if the Englishman was ready to deal with the step-up to the Premier League.

However, in the end, Henderson went on to take to the English top-flight like a duck to water, playing a key role in Sheffield United’s sensational campaign last time out.

In turn, after proving himself ready for a regular starting berth in the Premier League, question marks began to surface over the shot-stopper’s Manchester United future – especially given the fact that it has long remained hard to envision David de Gea departing Old Trafford.

Henderson, though, eventually came to the decision to test his talents back in Manchester, battling it out for the no.1 spot.

To this point, however, this plan isn’t working out too well for the English international.

The 23-year-old has been afforded just three starts this season, two of which came in the League Cup vs lower-league opposition.

Now, with the winter transfer window on the horizon, speculation surrounding Henderson’s future has once again resurfaced.

According to the Sun, Henderson is keen to find a loan move out of Manchester in January as he looks to keep his place in England’s squad for the upcoming Euros.

In terms of some potential destinations for Henderson, the Sun claim Bournemouth are exploring the option of making a loan move for Henderson. However, it is added that the shot-stopper he would prefer Premier League game time.

Leeds and Brighton are also named as some potentially interested parties, both of whom have pretty poor defensive records and could perhaps do with some fresh legs between the posts.

Man United linked with Bergmann Johannesson

Elsewhere, United are being credited with an interest in Isak Bergmann Johannesson.

Isak Bergmann Johannesson is a 17-year-old prodigy who has been garnering a fair bit of attention whilst honing his craft in Sweden with IFK Norrköping.

Bergmann Johannesson would also be handed his first senior Iceland cap earlier this week vs England.

And now, according to the Mirror, both Manchester United and Juventus are showing an interest in the midfielder, though it is added that the Italian outfit are stepping up their interest in Bergmann Johannesson.

In terms of a fee for the youngster, it is claimed Norrköping want £5m upfront with add-ons.
