Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger named as alternative target for Tottenham/ Lampard furious with Alonso

Updates on a couple of Chelsea’s fringe stars have been forthcoming online over the last 24 hours.

Rudiger to Tottenham?

First up, another side has been linked with Chelsea stopper, Antonio Rudiger.

The German has long represented a key figure in southwest London.

However, on the back of a disappointing 2019/20 campaign, the stopper has seen his game time take a major hit.

In fact, across the Londoners’ first four outings this season, Rudiger hasn’t been handed a single minute of action, and even missed out on a place in three of those matchday squads.

PSG have recently been linked with the centre-half.

However, a new outfit appear to be showing some interest in Rudiger.

According to Sky Sports reporter Angelo Mangiante, whilst Milan Skriniar remains Tottenham’s main centre-back target, should no agreement be found with Inter Milan, Rudiger is viewed as an alternative:

Lampard angry with Alonso

Elsewhere on the Chelsea front, Frank Lampard is said to be furious with Marcos Alonso.

The Spaniard was hooked at half-time this past weekend vs West Brom after a pretty dismal display that saw the Blues 3-0 down by the break.

And according to The Athletic, after being subbed, Alonso tried to watch the second-half of the game on the team bus, rather than with the rest of the subs.

This, in turn, is said to have led to Lampard handing the full-back a ‘furious dressing down’ in front of his Chelsea teammates.
