With less than 10 hours of the transfer window remaining, a number of stars still look set for the Chelsea exit door.
Emerson deal collapses
The first of which did look to be Emerson Palmieri, who has very much fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea.
The Italian joined the Blues back in January of 2018, departing AS Roma.
Since moving to England, though, Emerson has found regular game time fairly hard to come by.
The left-back does generally get some minutes in the cup competitions, but in the league, just this season for example, Emerson is actually yet to make a matchday squad.
And with Ben Chilwell now signed and fit, Emerson is arguably the Londoner’s 4th-choice left-back behind Chilwell, Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta.
So, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to read that the defender was reportedly set to join Juventus on loan for the rest of the campaign.
Said move was also believed to include an option to buy. However, a further update concerning Emerson claims that his move to Juve has since collapsed:
Soon after this went out, talks collapsed between Juventus and Emerson.

Rudiger has options
Whilst Emerson’s move now appears off, one player who could still potentially depart Stamford Bridge today is Antonio Rudiger.
Like Emerson, Antonio Rudiger has found minutes hard to come by this season, with the stopper actually yet to feature for Chelsea in any competition.
This has led to speculation that the German would be shipped out in this window, with the likes of PSG, Tottenham and AC Milan all linked previously.
Now, on deadline day, it is been claimed that Rudiger is still deciding between at least five clubs.
Spurs are named as one of the clubs still showing an interest, but Goal claim that Chelsea may block a move to Jose Mourinho’s side due to them being a direct rival:
– Emerson Palmieri is finalising a move to Juventus. Expect it will get done.
– Bakayoko to Napoli announced soon.
– Rudiger deciding on at least five clubs.
– Baba Rahman has two clubs in.
– Loftus-Cheek seen as expensive even on loanhttps://t.co/TuWPZF7aHd#CFC #CFCSales

Sky Sports News also provided an update on Rudiger on Monday. And they too mentioned that Chelsea ideally do not want to sell to a direct rival.
Rudiger is not the only Chelsea centre-back potentially on the move today, though, with Malang Sarr expected to join FC Porto on loan:
