Updates on a pair of potential departures from Stamford Bridge have been forthcoming online on Thursday afternoon.
First comes the latest on Antonio Rudiger.
German international Rudiger has of course long represented a key member of Chelsea’s squad, since his arrival from AS Roma in 2017.
The early weeks of the new season, however, have seen the 27-year-old slip majorly out of favour under Frank Lampard.
As things stand, all of Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen, Fikayo Tomori and summer arrival Thiago Silva appear to sit ahead of Rudiger in the defensive pecking order in southwest London.
In turn, recent weeks have seen the former Stuttgart man tipped for a potential Chelsea exit, with one surprise destination to have been touted coming in the form of Tottenham.
Jose Mourinho is known to be on the lookout for fresh blood at the heart of his backline ahead of next week’s transfer deadline, with Inter Milan continuing to stand firm in their demands for the Lilywhites’ first-choice, Milan Skriniar.
As such, Rudiger remains a backup target for Spurs, with an update on the German’s potential move across London having been forthcoming today.
As per the reliable Dan Kilpatrick of the Evening Standard, Chelsea ‘are prepared’ to allow Rudiger to join Tottenham on loan, on one condition.
The stopper would first need to put pen to paper on an extension to his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Rudiger’s current deal with the Blues is due to expire in 18 months’ time, with Chelsea keen to ensure that he would not return from a season-long loan with just 6 months to run on his time with the club.
Therefore, if such an extension is forthcoming, Rudiger could well be a Spurs player by the close of the transfer window.

CHO on the move?
The 2nd piece of Chelsea-related transfer news surrounds Callum Hudson-Odoi.
English attacker Hudson-Odoi of course previously rejected the advances of Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich, to pen a new long-term deal with Chelsea.
However, if the latest word stemming from the media today is to be believed, then the Bavarians appear to be readying a fresh swoop for his signature.
According to German outlet Bild, negotiations between Bayern and Chelsea ‘are in full swing’ over the 19-year-old.
This comes with the former eager to take Hudson-Odoi on loan for the season ahead, amid Hansi Flick’s demands that a 4th wide option be brought to the Allianz Arena before next week’s deadline.
It remains to be seen, however, whether Chelsea would be open to the terms of such a deal.
