Chelsea & Arsenal linked with Ali Akman/ Holding signs new Gunners contract

Who is Ali Akman?

Ali Akman is an 18-year-old centre-forward currently plying his trade in the Turkish top-flight.

The youngster spent much of his youth career with his current club, Bursaspor.

Despite his tender years, Akman began to be integrated into Bursapor’s senior side during the 2019/20 campaign.

Akman would feature 20 times in the league last term – the majority of these appearances came from the bench – scoring two goals in the process.

In 2020/21, though, Akman has firmly cemented himself as a key cog in Bursapor’s front line.

Already this campaign, the Turkish under-21 international has managed to notch 16 starts in the league.

In said ties, Akman was able to net an impressive nine goals and provide three assists.

The youngster is a centre-forward by trade, but he is also capable of lining out on the left and right-wings, something he has done on several occasions already this season.

Chelsea & Arsenal eyeing Akman

Now, following his impressive start to 2020/21, Akman has been linked with some of the Premier League’s top sides.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea and Arsenal are among the Premier League teams tracking Akman.

Akman has just six months left to run on his current contract, with the DM stating that he does not intend to put pen to paper on a fresh deal, with Bursaspor said to be willing to listen to offers now, rather than risk losing him for minimum compensation in the summer.

It is added that the Turkish outfit are looking to earn around £3m for Akman:
