Brendan Rogers provides injury updates on Leicester centre-back duo ahead of Wolves

Leicester vs Wolves

Leicester are set to welcome Wolves to the King Power on Sunday afternoon.

The Foxes head into the tie on a fine run of form both domestically and in Europe.

In terms of the Premier League, Leicester began the weekend 2nd in the table, just one point adrift on current champions, Liverpool.

As for Wolves, they have also been in fine form of late, notching three wins and one draw from their last four league outings.

Rodgers provides updates on Evans & Soyuncu

Ahead of the Wolves tie, Brendan Rodgers has provided updates on several of his first-team players.

Jonny Evans has missed the Foxes’ last three outings in all competitions due to injury.

However, Rodgers confirmed recently that the stopper should be available this weekend:

“[Evans] should be available as long as there’s no reaction. He’s trained very well today. He looked strong and had good mobility in an area that was an issue for him, so we’re hopeful for the weekend. Jonny coming back is great news for us, apart from that all the other guys are just outside.”

The news surrounding Caglar Soyuncu, though, isn’t as positive, with the 24-year-old not expected to be available until around Christmas time:

“It’s probably more weeks (than months) away. He thankfully didn’t need the operation. He’s doing some mobility and flexibility work outside, but not kicking a ball yet.

“We’re going to see how that goes after the international break and we’re hopeful that he might be available at some time before Christmas.”
