Arsenal captain and star man Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reportedly been forced to withdraw from international duty this week due to injury.
Aubameyang withdraws from Gabon squad
Aubameyang has, of course, been a key member of the Gabon national team set-up for some time now.
In total, the 31-year-old has netted 20 in 51 appearances and is their current captain.
And though Gabon were not set for competitive action in the current break, they did have a friendly with Benin lined up this coming Sunday.
One man who looks set to play no part in that clash, however, is Aubameyang.
As per James Benge of football.london, Aubameyang was forced to withdraw from the Gabon squad due to a small ankle sprain.
However, luckily for Arsenal, the injury does not appear to be overly serious as Benge also reported that the hitman was able to take part in training with the Gunners on Wednesday:

Man City vs Arsenal
Whilst no official word from the club has yet been forthcoming regarding the injury, it does sound as though Aubameyang will be available for Arsenal’s next clash.
And Arsenal will no doubt need to be at their full strength if they wish to pick up the three points from that game as it is away to Manchester City.
The north Londoners have a pretty dismal record when it comes to facing Pep Guardiola’s City.
But they will take some comfort in the fact Mikel Arteta was able to guide the Gunners to a 2-0 victory over the Citizens in the FA Cup semi-final back in July.
