Updates surrounding a pair of potential departures at Arsenal have been forthcoming online on Thursday.
Torreira back to Italy?
As the new season inches closer to getting underway, activity on the red half of north London has begun to pick up of late.
On the back of Willian’s free agent arrival earlier in the summer, Arsenal’s long-awaited signing of Gabriel Magalhaes was finally forthcoming earlier this week.
Spanish international Dani Ceballos, meanwhile, is expected to follow suit imminently.

Making room for such arrivals at the Emirates, though, is expected to be an imminent outflux from Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Perhaps the player most persistently linked with a departure from the English capital of late, though, has been Lucas Torreira.
And, over the last couple of hours, a potentially significant update has been forthcoming surrounding the future of the Uruguayan.
As per a report from the Times, Torreira is now ‘close’ to a return to Serie A, with Fiorentina.
The Viola are said to have found the basis of a deal with Arsenal, whereby the all-action midfielder will make the move to Florence on loan for the 2020/21 campaign.
The Gunners are expected to pocket a fee in the region of £7 million as part of the deal, with an option for Fiorentina to make Torreira’s signing permanent next summer, for a further £14 million, also included.

Kola in demand
As outlined above, though, Torreira is not the only Arsenal star to have been tipped for an exit from the club on Thursday.
The other? Sead Kolasinac.
Speculation stemming from the German media last week suggested that out-of-favour Gunners stopper Kolasinac had emerged as a target for former club Schalke, who are eyeing a loan swoop for the Bosnian.

And, in a further development today, it is claimed that another Bundesliga outfit, in the form of Bayer Leverkusen, have joined Schalke in the race for ‘Kola’.
As per a report from Ruhr24 (citing SportBild), Die Werkself have emerged as genuine contenders for the Arsenal star’s signature.
Significantly, it is also suggested that Leverkusen could be willing to stump up a fee of around €15 million to bring Kolasinac back to Germany.
