The nominees for the latest edition of the UEFA Golden Boy award have, on Thursday, been announced.
Felix crowned
The Golden Boy accolade is of course handed out on an annual basis, to a player under the age of 21, deemed to have enjoyed the finest 12 months in one of Europe’s top leagues.
The award, which was first handed out in 2003, is voted for by a panel of expert journalists.
Previous winners have gone on to develop into some of world football’s finest, including the likes of Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero.
The current holder is Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix.

Elsewhere, Barcelona pair Ansu Fati and Sergino Dest are also named, with Rennes sensation Eduardo Camavinga no doubt amongst the favourites, alongside the prolific Erling Haaland.
