He briefly referenced his time at Everton and felt it had become part of the experience which has made him a better coach, ready to take on what he feels to be the world’s number one job.

“I had a very good time at Everton. The atmosphere was positive and I worked with hardworking people. I come from positive experiences in Germany, Italy and England,” he said.

“All of them made me grow again and, today, I come back here with six years of experience in more . I know Real Madrid very well, the team and I will meet again some players that I have already coached in the past. We will do well.”

Ancelotti wont have Ramos

One player who Ancelotti is seemingly unlikely to be able to call upon is Sergio Ramos.

The now former Spanish international, having been left out of Luis Enrique’s Euro 2020 squad, has been in discussions over a new contract but with little success.

Ancelotti was asked about Ramos and spoke glowingly of him.

However, reports suggest a breakdown in the relationship between Ramos and Florentino Perez could now see him leave.

The Mirror reported that in addition to the financial situation of the club, the relationship between the pair had ‘collapsed.’

And sadly it seems as though he will leave with some bitterness, his relationship with controversial Madrid president Florentino Perez appearing to have completely collapsed.

Where Ramos will end up is still not known.
